No matter your age, that eternal quest for beauty never stops. Here are a few natural ways to preserve your beauty.

Most people don't mind aging if it means that they can still be beautiful and vibrant, like they were in their innocence. To do so, many people are willing to do whatever it takes, to preserve their beauty and vibrancy.

For some, cosmetic surgery is not an option, so how can you preserve your natural beauty the natural way? Well, there are several techniques to keep you looking good and feeling good. Who said with age you have to lose it all? With these techniques aging can be beautiful, long lasting, and sweet just like fine wine.

A Positive Attitude...

Developing a positive attitude about life, helps eliminate stress. Stress causes premature aging and can cause weight gain, mental illness, even death. Keeping a positive attitude means to believe in yourself and life. When bad things do come your way, sit back, explore your possibilities and have fun! Life is a journey, enjoy every minute of it by staying positive.

Antioxidants

Antioxidants help eliminate toxic build up in your body which can be the cause of many ailments such as depression, irritability, fatigue, fluid retention, weight gain, acne, headaches, bad breath, and dry skin. Choose foods and drinks high in antioxidants and fiber, such as tea and red wine.

Stimulate

Your body and your brain need regular exercise. Physical exercise not only keeps you fit, but helps you eliminate toxins through sweating. Physical exercise can strengthen your heart, bones and muscles, eliminating injuries later in life. It boosts oxygen throughout the body giving you a radiant glow. Frequent massages will help keep you toned and supple. Apply toner on your face after washing to keep your face toned.

Mental exercise helps strengthen your brain and helps keep you alert. In a study, mental exercise was shown to aid against Alzheimer's and dementia. Daily meditating is a great way to restore mental clarity.

Moisturize

Follow your regimen up with a good moisturizer. This helps prevent wrinkles and dryness. A good moisturizer usually contains vitamins A, C, E and alpha hydroxy acid. These are good for repairing and nourishing your skin.

Sun Screen

According to experts, to fight against sun spots, skin cancer and premature aging, a sun screen of SPF 15 or higher, should be used daily, even in the winter. Sunscreen should be applied every 2 hours when staying outside for a prolonged time and after swimming, bathing, perspiring heavily, or drying off with a handkerchief or towel, to be most effective. Sun hats and sunglasses are recommended for protection of your hair eyes and lips. Intense heat can cause dry, brittle hair and dry, cracked lips and skin.

Exfoliate

Exfoliation is the sloughing off of dead skin. Exfoliating reveals fresh, bright, new skin. It also increases circulation to your body, giving it a vibrant, healthy glow. Exfoliate at least three times a week. For problem skin, be careful as exfoliation can tend to irritate the skin and make it worse.

Vitamin C

Vitamin c not only helps your immune system, but it also helps produce collagen , the substance responsible for a firm, tight body. The daily intake of fruits and vegetables high in vitamin c or a vitamin c supplement will help to decrease sagging and wrinkles.

Teeth Whitener

A dull smile with dull teeth can age you faster than almost anything. Use baking soda and peroxide or a toothpaste with teeth whitening and plaque protection, such as Colgate Total, to improve a healthy smile.

Along with these tips, here are some excercises for keeping your face naturally toned:

To Firm up Your Cheeks...

Hold your index finger against your lips, as if you were signaling hush. Blow your cheeks out, pushing your index finger hard against your lips to keep air from escaping. Count to ten while blowing out your cheeks. Repeat ten or twelve times.

To Erase Lines...

at the side of cheeks and nose: Pucker up your lips as if for a kiss. While keeping them in this position, try to wrinkle up your nose. You will feel the tension of the muscles along the sides of the nose if you hold the whistle position of the lips while wrinkling. Wrinkle your nose twenty-five times.

To Keep A Firm Chin Line...

Stick out your tongue as far as you can, arching it as high as you can while you do so. If you place your thumb under your chin, back close to your neck, you will be able to feel the tension in the muscle. Repeat fifteen times.

To Prevent Bags Under The Eyes...

Close your eyes and look up toward the ceiling. Count to ten while you hold your eyes in this position. Then look down, again keeping eyes closed and holding them in this position. Count to ten. Then look to the right; then to the left. Repeat twelve times. These exercises also help to rest and relax the eyes.

For A Swanlike Neck...

  1. Interlace your fingers and place the interlaced palm sides against your forehead. While you count to ten, push toward your hands with your head at the same time you are trying to push your head back with the interlaced palms of the hands.
  2. Now place the interlaced fingers at the back of your head, palm sides against your hair. Again push and resist, counting to ten.
  3. Finally, place the palm of your right hand against the right side of your head, against the hair, just behind your head, against the hair, just behind your temple and above your ear.
  4. Push and resist, counting up to ten. Do the same with the left hand on the left hand side of the face.

According to DuBarry, the author of Total Beauty: for the woman who cares, “These exercises work. After a few weeks you won’t even care if your family or friends catch you making faces at your mirror.“
